Hydro International was established in 1994 and since then the company has grown to become prominent leaders in product innovation within the water and wastewater industry.

Despite being just 20 years in the business, the technical knowledge and experience behind Hydro goes back over 40 years.

The Founder

PJ Finn, he Founder and MD of Hydro International first began his career in Ireland in water treatment. Moving to the US in 1989 he jointly ran HydroCal, a company specialising in effluent treatment for the Pulp and Paper Industry, among other various sectors such as Food and Beverage. Returning home to Ireland in 1993, Hydro International began trading and from there business has grown rapidly. As the reputation of the company grew, so too have the range of projects and effluent treatment plants that we have delivered.

Our Scope

Today, Hydro has supplied, installed and commissioned over 500 plants in both Ireland and the UK, meeting customers needs for both industrial and municipal applications including:

  • Industrial Wastewater Reuse & Recycling

  • Water recycling
  • Sludge Dewatering

Honesty & Understanding

Our honesty and straightforwardness is what our clients most appreciate in their dealings with Hydro. This way of working can make it more challenging for us when bidding for projects. Whereas, some companies will hide exceptional costs in post commissioning variances, we will be upfront about the full extent of the costs and work required.
Understanding that manufacturing is your key focus, our in house capabilities means that the equipment will be made bespoke to the requirements of a specific site. Hydro’s ‘process led’ approach to all aspects of water, wastewater and air treatment which ensures that the most appropriate technology is identified for each unique application means that we will work with you to recommend and implement procedures that will minimise the likelihood of disruption and unwanted contaminants reaching your effluent plant that can negatively impact production.

Providing a full range of customer focused services, from inception & design through to construction, commissioning & maintenance support.
